The Cottage
The cottage is over 200 years old. The attached outbuilding is an old forge, and the original barn is now the dining room and kitchen. The remainder of the barn and existing cottages were remodelled, hence two staircases and different floor levels, all adding charm and unique character. The cottages housed agricultural workers and their families, working on local farms.
Facilities
The cottage comprises of 2 double bedrooms, each with a bathroom/ shower room, a fully equipped kitchen, separate dining room and lounge, both with wood burning stoves.
The outside area has parking for 2-3 cars, and outside seating/dining.
Solar panels have recently been fitted to the property.
Location
Located in the heart of the Yorkshire countryside, and on the edge of the Harewood Estate, close to Eccup reservoir and the Dales Way, and within a few paces from the Ebor Way, an ideal location for exploring local walks, hikes and local attractions.
Within easy reach is the old market town of Otley and the spa town of Ilkley.
The vibrant city of Leeds is just 20 minutes’ drive away as is the beautiful spa town of Harrogate.
The Emmerdale Experience is on the doorstep, and access to sporting events, theatres, and Leeds arena is close by.
